With 17 hard and clay courts, including seven lighted courts for evening play, stadium seating for 1,000 people, and a seasoned staff of USPTA certified professionals, La Costa presents every opportunity to refine your game with a tennis partner, personal instruction or clinics. Brandon Sieh, Head Tennis Pro at La Costa Resort and Spa
Brandon Sieh is the Head Tennis Professional at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA. In this role, Sieh is responsible for providing a world-class tennis experience for its members and guests. Sieh is in charge of all tennis operations which includes overseeing 17 tennis courts, the pro shop and the annual Mercury Insurance Open.
Sieh lettered four years for the University of Nevada, Reno Men’s Tennis Team. He has a Masters degree in Sports Management and is also a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional.Meet the Pro

We also have tennis shoes, caps, accessories and top of the line racquets. Racquet restringing service is also available.

La Costa Junior Tennis incorporates a positive attitude toward each individual’s progress. The lessons each student learns on the court will be important lessons applicable to their future. We teach through example, by staying positive with our players and having patience with their development. Helping youngsters develop confidence is an integral part of their tennis training, as well as an important aspect of their lives. We strive to attain positive results with an emphasis on using FUN to get there.

Participants in the Tots class learn the proper fundamentals for all tennis strokes with an emphasis on FUN. Participants play games to help improve skills, and learn proper technique. Games are non-competitive, therefore, each class is a positive tennis experience.

No tennis experience is necessary for Little Pros. Participants learn strokes, footwork, anticipation, and tennis rules. The emphasis is on building rallies, and point playing. A positive attitude, sportsmanship, and proper technique are stressed.

Tournament Development
Ages 8 & up

Participants learn to incorporate power and different spins into their shot making. Shot patterns, proper footwork, offensive and defensive strategy will improve through drilling, as well as, supervised match play. Participants must be able to play matches as this is a large part of our program. Private lessons are recommended at this level as each individual begins to develop his or her own playing style. This class is designed for players who are, or will be playing in tournaments.
