Mike Casey, La Costa Resort's director of tennis, is one of the most recognized tennis pros in the USPTA. Because of his work with so many celebrities and high- profile clients, many call him the "Pro to the Stars." From the business, entertainment, and sports world, Mike's students are like a list of who's who, including Phil Knight, founder of Nike; Sumner Redstone of Viacom; Tom Siebel of Siebel Systems; and Mike Wallace, Stone Phillips, Pat O'Brien and Adam Sandler of the TV world. In addition, Mike has worked with Grand Slam Legends like Rod Laver, Ken Rosewall, Roy Emerson, Billie Jean King and Chris Evert. His workshops have featured the likes of Roger Federer, Lleyton Hewitt and Patrick McEnroe.
Prior to joining La Costa Resort and Spa as director of tennis, Mike was with La Quinta Resort and Club where he served tennis guests and members for 18 years. Mike's extensive tennis teaching career has taken him to other great resorts like the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida; the Marriott Mark Resort in Vail; and the Hayden Lake Country Club in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.
Mike is most recognized for his state-of-the-art video tennis analysis which he offers to both individuals and corporate groups as well as his all day “Extreme Video Tennis Makeover,” cardio tennis programs, clinics, live ball and coming soon – beach tennis!
