LA COSTA RESORT AND SPA APPOINTS BARRY LLOYD AS FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR
CARLSBAD, Calif. – Barry Lloyd has been appointed food and beverage director at La Costa Resort and Spa, nestled among 400 lush garden acres near the beach in Carlsbad, Calif. Originally created in the 1960s as a playground for celebrities and athletes, La Costa offers all guests access to the enviable coastal California lifestyle.
Lloyd will manage all dining venues, as well as catering services at La Costa. BlueFire Grill is La Costa’s signature restaurant and serves flavorful, innovative fare, which takes full advantage of Southern California’s fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables. The recently renovated Legends Bistro is La Costa’s family friendly restaurant offering three meals a day. As a previous team member at La Costa, Lloyd served as a senior conference manager at La Costa Resort and Spa from 1995 to 1999. Most recently, Lloyd joins La Costa from Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, Calif., where he held the position of director of conference management and catering since 2002. Prior to Hotel Del Coronado, Lloyd was the director of catering and conference services for Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Lloyd received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Denver.
